“It was a great bonus for us to fly from Leeds / Bradford our local airport rather than Heathrow, it takes a day off the journey and is much more pleasant. We were really pleased to have a week at the altitude before attempting the Inca Trail. We did not have any problem with it. All the local agents excellent, very impressed with their English, local knowledge and presentation..”

“Thank you for organising our excellent holiday in Chile at such short notice. Everything was well organised and went according to plan. We thoroughly enjoyed our three weeks” Mr. & Mrs. C 14/Mar/2009
“Although we had a bespoke tour we were met by contact in Sao, Manaus, Iguassu and Rio and found them all be the most helpful, especially Wedson from the Ecopark in Manaus and Raquel in Rio de Janeiro..

We hope you are well, this just to let you know we arrived back safe and sound from our Peru adventure, and to say thankyou for the excellent organisation of our trip.
With all the changes in venues, flights, train journeys, pick up's, all went without any problems at all and we were very impressed with the standard of service we received. From our first day being picked up at Lima airport by Enesto Prugue, who incidentally we now consider a friend, to him dropping us back for our return home we really could not fault the service and attention we given. Although all the people we had contact with, whether it was guides or drivers, they were always only to willing to help in any way possible, there are two that I would like to give a special mention to, Ernesto who I have mentioned already was without doubt a first class guide and we found him so easy to get along with,so it was jokes and laughs all the time. Also our guide in Cusco and to Macchu Picchu Maria Estrada was more than helpful and made sure that we enjoyed ourselves all the time she was with us, her knowledge of the history of places we visited and her passion for local culture always held our interest, and her personality was brilliant. So it just remains for us to say thank you to all concerned, including those that arranged an anniversary gift of a bottle of pisco to be delivered to our hotel room ( now I have to find out how to make pisco sour!!!) . If in the future we can be of any help in recommending your company to potential clients we will be only to willing to give our opinions and comments. Once again thankyou for everything. R. & C. E. Hi Luciana
Thanks again for looking after us so well in Rio at the end of another fabulous holiday (all credit to Paulo again - many thanks too). We managed Sugar Loaf, te Botanical Gardens, Rio Centre - including successful shoe shopping - and crashed out at your recommended Italian -very tasty - for the evening. We even managed a couple of hours on Copacabana beach before leaving on our last day. Raquel and driver were dead on time and were lovely as well. Attached is the amazingly etherial photo of Christ the Redeemer cloud shadow as promised. We've been in touch with Adriana in the Pantanal. When you see Felipe again please pass on our best regards, he was a really ace guide and companion. Best wishes A. & P. B. View this Itinerary with day by day descriptions. Villa Mar, particularly, and Uyuni hotels were challenging! Very cold! Otherwise all hotels excellent. Really enjoyed Pantanal Lodge. Sucre were a little disorganised and needed to listen more to us re our needs.
Thank you very much! Another great holiday. A. & P. B. View this Itinerary with day by day descriptions. Please Download PDF - 6152 28/Aug/2008
Dear Kirsty,
Just back from our trip to Latin America and would like to express that we had a wonderful time. The transfers all worked and it was reassuring to know that your on the ground agents were there. All the hotels were great, the Inkaterra was idylic. I am sure we will be returning to some of the countries and exploring new ones, hopefully next year Thank you I. & D. Inca Tour with Veloso Tours
We returned from our wonderful holiday on August 16th and would like to thank you for the excellent arrangements you arranged. Everything was perfect, the hotels, restaurants and especially the guides. Each guide was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly, we really learned so much about your lovely country. Our especial thanks go to Juan Carlos Yanez. This young man made the holiday so special, his care, guidance, information and his sense of humour were incredible. We would be very grateful if on our behalf you could pass our thanks on to all involved but particularly to Juan Carlos. Once again, thank you for all the arrangements for our holiday of a lifetime. We hope that we will be able to return to Peru one day, it is a country we have fallen in love with. H. K. View this Itinerary with day by day descriptions. Please Download PDF - 6002 30/Aug/2008

This trip is fantastic. We are now in Sucre and have just returned from Tarabuco market (wearing ponchos!) The first part of the Salar de Uyuni trip was extremely cold but well worth it. Beautiful scenery and the people made us so welcome, also the accomodation has been of a very good standard. So far we have more than 1000 pictures. The children of the school in Villa Mar have a band, los grillos, and they came to sing for us, so tomorrow we will print the pictures and Karina our guide will take them when she goes back next week. Our driver for that section Nahum was an absolute legend. In Sucre Liz from the agency came to speak to us, she´s been very helpful. There were problems with blocked roads (lorry driver demonstration) and she made all of the arrangements for our day out. So every day we think that it can´t get any better, but it does. Esto es todo para ahora. ¡Hasta luego!

My wife and I have just returned from our holiday in Brasil to find your quality control request on our doormat. This is typical of the wonderful attention to detail we enjoyed throughout our holiday. Unfortunately the form didn't seem appropriate to express the gratitude we both feel for a truly wonderful holiday. I appreciate that it was called an 'Individual tour' but throughout the 2 weeks we were given total individual and personal attention. We were met at Rio airport by Luciana who displayed an amazing knowledge of the town and the country as well as a commitment to us and our enjoyment. She simply took away any doubts/concerns that can make a holiday stressful - we even got fast- tracked on the Corcovada railway. Having arranged our transport and welcome on Ilha Grande she even met us upon our return to Rio airport just to be sure we were ok. We felt like old friends when we said goodbye to her!!
Incidentally, should you need a selling point for Ilha Grande my wife enjoyed 2 very good dives with a Padi certified dive company ( Elite Dive Centre) in Abraao. All of our drivers arrived early and delivered us on time. Your agents on Ilha Grande and at Iguacu provided excellent service. Finally I cannot recommend the Refugio ecologico Caiman highly enough- the location and staff were first class and whilst we did not see either a Jaguar or an anaconda we have an excuse to go back. Overall I was totally impressed by your service and will be using you in the future and will happily recommend you to friends. D. P. View this Itinerary with day by day descriptions. Just to let you know that we are now in La Paz and that everything has gone like clockwork. Your representatives and guides have been excellent.
Of course, if anywhere stood out it was the Llao Llao and the whole location In Bariloche. Absolutely marvellous Although, of course, we enjoyed Rio, Buenos Aires and Santiago what appeals about La Paz is that it is really the first of the cities with a real South American feel as opposed to the others which are very European (which we somehow expected anyway). Hope the rest will be as good. We are sure it will. Best wishes I. B. View this Itinerary with day by day descriptions. Please Download PDF - 4088 31/Aug/2008
Otra vez muchas gracias - OBRIGADA This was a big budget commitment for us and we really agonised over it. It was worth every sol, boliviano, peso, penny and I will have to start overtime to fund the next trip a.s.a.p. Cannot thank you enough D. & J. C. View this Itinerary with day by day descriptions. Our tour leader was very helpful, friendly, with a sense of humour, who knew his country’s history, social history and lots of local information.

My son and I returned from our Veloso holiday to Brazil on Friday and I just wanted to thank you all for arranging and executing an outstanding itinerary and holiday.
From my first conversation last year with Paulo to the end of the holiday every conversation, arrangement and detail was first class and effortless. The three guides that looked after us in Brazil were absolutely first class, Rosana in Sao Paulo, Luiz in the Amazon and Luciana in Rio. I will certainly recommend your company without hesitation to others! Many thanks to you all ! Kind regards J. D. 5000 31/Aug/2008
All the guides were excellent, their helpfulness, friendliness and enthusiasm was boundless…One thing that stood out was their obvious love of their work – very refreshing.’

I am writing to let you know what a wonderful time we had in Costa Rica on your Tanager Tour. We were a little uncertain as to what to expect, this being our first time in Latin America and never really having undertaken a tour such as this. The Grano De Oro hotel in San Jose was absolutely excellent, particularly the restaurant. All the transfers were punctual and with friendly helpful drivers. In particular Eduardo who drove us from San Jose to Monteverde. The cloud forest tour in Monteverde was led by a very well informed guide and great fun. The day of optional excursions in Arenal was extremely easy to organise. We booked a full day tour which took us to four sites, the hanging bridges, la Fortuna waterfall, volcano walk (yes, we could see the lava and it erupted slightly for us) and then the Tabacón hot springs where we also had dinner. We booked the day from the hotel and I would recommend it to you as a possible suggestion for future visitors. Your brochure only mentions the volcano walk and the hot springs and seems to suggest you should do one or the other, but it is easy to do both and no great strain to do all four. Albeit with a 5.15am pickup the next morning!
Tortuguero was a different world. We felt we had been tagged onto the end of a much larger group at first, but it soon became clear that the whole party had been put together that day. Having travelled around in a group of two it was a little unexpected to suddenly become part of a group of about twenty. Possibly you should warn future travellers to expect this in the travel notes. Our guide, Vicky, was superb. She answered every question, was keen to talk about life in general in Costa Rica and was extremely thoughtful and helpful, a credit to her tour company. The boat rides along the rivers were great fun, at speed and when drifting slowly along the waterways. The group we were with were all keen to spot animals and we all helped each other to point out and locate some of the more difficult sightings (i.e. most of them!). The turtle watching was certainly an experience not to be missed. I have two criticisms of the organisation, both at Tortuguero. It is not made clear that the night visit to watch the turtles lay their eggs is an optional extra that has to be paid for. The brochure just says that it is a seasonal activity. Also we stayed two full days at Tortuguero while it appears to be the norm to only stay for one. The second day we also spent on the waterways. Again it was not made clear that the entrance to the national park of $10 was not paid in advance. That was a little embarrassing when we were asked to pay it on the second day when we assumed it had already been paid. It seemed to be the norm for people to pay the entrance fee as an optional extra. Again I would suggest that this is mentioned in the tour notes to avoid any confusion. I have already mentioned how good Vicky our guide was at looking after us and all of her group. She had told us to check the entrance fee for the following day before we went on the boat ride. We forgot to do this, so any embarrassment felt was partly our own fault. She also arranged for us to have a special menu for our evening meal for the third night as it appears they repeat the menu every two days since people generally only stay for two nights. We had waiter service on our last night, while everyone else was on self service. It sounds silly I know, but we did feel special! The final day (a Sunday) when we flew back to San Jose is a day I feel you should look at again. We were back at the Grano de Oro by 8.30am and had nothing planned between then and our flight at 5.15pm the following day. We used the hotel to book a half day excursion to the waterfall gardens. We left at 9.00am and were back in the hotel by 2pm still with time to walk into San Jose and visit the gold museum and wander around the shops. On our final day we checked out, left our luggage and went back into town to visit the National Theatre (closed on Sundays) and the cathedral. This time we braved the central market and had a great time looking for souvenirs and bargains. I would suggest that in the tour notes you could mention the possibility of a fairly long time in San Jose at the end. We couldn’t get into our room before the afternoon, so had we wanted to rest we couldn’t have done so other than in the foyer or restaurant. Please don’t take my comments at the end of this letter as a criticism of the tour or its organisation. We had a wonderful time and will recommend both the tour and your company to our friends and anyone who wants to see the rain forest without too much stress or adventure. I have only mentioned them as I felt they might allow you to improve the pre-tour information you supply. Highlight of the trip? For my wife it was tree frogs, for me it was the boat rides and for both of us it was getting soaked on the hanging bridges in Arenal. It was then that we understood why everyone wore a poncho! (Except Edgar, our guide, who carried only an umbrella, all day and remained perfectly dry, but wore a look of disbelief on his face at how we could manage to get so wet!). Next year we will be going to Machu Picchu or the Galapogos. Please send me your 2009 brochure when it is available. Many thanks for a wonderful holiday. P. P. 5766 28/Aug/2008
