CRUISE THE AMAZON ABOARD

"LA TURMALINA" or "LA AMATISTA" - Sister Ships, First Class. We will confirm the ship to be used on the departure date you have chosen.

Our voyage of discovery will take us in the secluded waters beyond the confluence of the Ulcayali and Maranon Rivers where there are the greatest number of recorded species of primates to be found anywhere in the "New World", together with colourful birds, the pink and grey dolphin and a profusion of exotic, lush tropical flora and fauna.

"La Turmalina" & "La Amatista" are First Class ships constructed especially for Amazon River cruising, all in wood, fully air-conditioned and with 14 cabins facing the outside, located on two decks and tastefully designed with private facilities and shower, with either double or twin beds.

The top deck has an elegant, air-conditioned dining room with large semi-circular, panoramic window for comfortable viewing the ever-changing rainforest and river.

Excellent international and local dishes are served using local produce including fresh fish, vegetables and fruits. There are daily, guided excursions on small boats into the forest.

Perhaps the most popular aspect of "La Turmalina" is the large, open Observation Deck, terrace and bar at the top, from where the knowledgeable naturalist guides will give you a unique and personal insight into their great natural home - spotting rare birds and plants as you cruise.

At the end of each day, as the sun goes down over the Amazon rainforest, there is no better place to enjoy a relaxing drink with like-minded adventurers under the opal skies embracing the Equator.
