The islands commonly referred to as the "ABC islands" are the islands of Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao. They are located just north of the coast of Venezuela, South America and belong to the Netherlands Antilles.
Aruba
Well known for Windsurfing as well as its long white sandy beaches with calm turquoise water, Aruba is a perfect destination for first-class resorts, casinos, shopping, and a wide selection of excellent restaurants. For the visitor looking for glamour, glitz, fine beaches, and plenty to do, choose Aruba.Curacao
Bonaire
It was the sea that first earned Bonaire's reputation as a prime diving and snorkeling destination, consistently one of the world's top 10. One reason for this is that Bonaire is surrounded by fringing reefs, and hosts an abundance of excellent reef-diving spots that are accessible a few feet from the shore. Althought the main activites on this Island would be diving & snorkeling, Bonaire has much more to offer; from hiking in the Washington-Slagbaai National Park, birdwatching & kayaking to shopping and fine dining in the city centre. It's an island with great potential to get busy having fun or just relax.
Curacao is a long, arid, and generally flat island, stretching some 40 miles (64 km) from southeast to northwest. There is plenty to do in Curacao and the best way is by car as driving around the island is very easy. There are many white sandy beaches to explore with calm turquoise waters excellent for diving and snorkeling or simply relaxing. Williamstad, the capital of Curacao has excellent restaurants and bars as well as plenty of shopping.
