Day
1 Leaving from your hotel in Mexico City, we drive to the
delightful colonial city of Morelia, for a guided tour and continue
to Pátzcuaro, a picturesque town on the shores of the lake, with
cobblestone streets and charming colonial buildings.Overnight.
Day
2 Boat trip on Pátzcuaro Lake to visit Janitizio Island,
with its cobblestone streets, a beautiful spot offering lovely views
of the surrounding lake. Return to the mainland and a stunning drive
through the Michoacan Mountain Range to Guadalajara.
Day
3 Full day tour of the city, and historical quarter where lovely
colonnades border the graceful squares. Continue to the village of Tlaquepaque,
a centre for excellent Mariachi music bands, folklore and handicraft
specialising in glass, textiles and leather goods and return to Guadalajara.
Day 4 Depart for Guanajuato,
a beautiful city, nestled in a gorge where the narrowest of streets
wend their way up its sides granting glorious views of the surroundings.
Day
5 Leave for San Miguel De Allende, a stunning sight, overlooking
the River Laja with the mountains in the distance. The winding cobblestone
streets lead up to vantage points where one can admire the plentiful
number of churches with their characteristic blue and yellow tiled cupolas.
Day 6 Continue to Querétaro,
an old colonial city dotted with beautiful squares and churches, and
on to your hotel in Mexico City.
