Built in 2005, The Via Australis can hold up to 136 passengers while offering 64 comfortable cabins. With a deck, entertainment, and beautiful cabins, the Via Australis allows each passanger to have the best experience possible in Chile on board an expedition Cruise .
M/V Stella Australis
The Stella Australis is a luxurious, awe-inspiring cruise ship. The ship, which was constructed in 2010, consists of 100 total cabins and can hold up to 210 passengers.
During the cruise, there will be daily inland tours lasting approximately two hours. These tours are organized and managed by the Mare Australis Expedition Group and consist of walks through trails in the native forest and visits to glaciers. The tours include talks on the flora and fauna of the area. A delicious whisky with the millenary ice, or a cup of hot chocolate will be served at the end of the excursions.

The Mare Australis has: 63 exterior cabins 161 sq ft. each (doubles). Cabins are classified in 3 categories depending on location in the ship: AA, A and B.

AA Cabins : 45 available Distributed among decks 2, 3 and 4. 8 have one double bed and 37 have two twin size beds (1.2 meters wide).
A Cabins : 12 available Located on the second deck towards the back end of the vessel. 2 have one double bed and 10 have two twin size beds (1.2 meters wide).
B Cabins: 6 available Located on the first deck They all have two twin size low beds (1.2 meters wide) plus aditional high berth increasing its capacity to a triple in three of them.

Day 1
Departure from Punta Arenas to "the uttermost part of the earth".
Board cruise ship at 18.00 for a cocktail reception. The route
takes us through the Strait of Magellan and Beagle Channel into one
of the most breathtaking wilderness in the world: Southern
Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego. (D)
Day 2
Arrive at Marinelli Glacier in Ainsworth Bay and enjoy a walk to a
beaver dam in the midst of a Magellanic forest and see a colony of
elephant seals. Visit Tucker Islet, where colonies of Magellanic
Penguins can be seen. (B,L,D)
Day 3
Sail through the Beagle Channel to disembark near Pia Glacier.
Take a short hike to a lookout point with a spectacular view of the
entire glacier. After this unforgettable experience, sail to
majestic "Glacier Alley". (B,L,D)
Day 4
Sail through Beagle and Murray Channels to disembark in Cape Horn
National Park (weather permitting). Cape Horn is a sheer, 425-metre
high rocky promontory at the point where the Atlantic and Pacific
oceans merge. To visit this mythical place known as the "End of the
Earth" is a singular privilege. The park is a World Biosphere
Reserve protected by UNESCO. In the afternoon, go ashore in
historic Wulaia Bay, once the site of one of the region's largest
aboriginal settlements, renowned for the mesmerizing beauty of its
vegetation and geography. (B,L,D)
Day 5
Arrive at Ushuaia, the most important Argentinian city on Tierra
de Fuego, and the southernmost city in the world. Disembark at
08.00, to get an early start to visit the city and national parks,
and continue your trip through Patagonia. (B)
