In the South Pacific, some 2,500 miles from Chile, lies sub-tropical Easter Island, scattered with fascinating ahu platforms and moai stone statues.
Days 1 - 2
On arrival transfer to your hotel. Rest of day at leisure. The
following day visit Vaihu and Akahanga ahus, Rano Raraku, the
quarry where the moais were made, and Ahu Tongariki with its
15 restored statues and nearby ancient petroglyphs. Drive to
Anakena Beach, watched over by the impressive Ahu Nau Nau statues,
where we stop on a white sandy beach for a picnic and a swim in the
Pacific Ocean.
Day 3
Half day excursion to Rano Kau visiting the crater lake and
ceremonial village of Orongo, where the birdman culture once chose
its king. Afternoon at leisure with time to explore the town of
Hangaroa and the Museum of Sebastian Englert.
Day 4
Transfer to airport for departure flight back to mainland
Chile.

An extra day which takes you across the island to see Ahu Akivi and
its seven ocean-facing, explorer moais. We also visit Ana Te Pahu
Cave and continue to the quarry of Puna Pau. Afternoon at leisure
exploring, walking or just unwinding.
