Tambopata Lodge.
Libertador Tambopata is situated on the banks of the Tambopata River in the Tambopata National Reserve, a protected area located in the southeastern region of Madre de Dios. The lodge has 59 cabins made from wood and thatched with woven leaves and screened to protect from insects, each with private bathroom. There is no electricity, lamps and candles are used at night. Opportunity to see caiman, otters and many birds. Guided daily walks with specialist guides.

On arrival at the airport in Puerto Maldonado, transfer to a motorised dugout canoe, for a journey to the lodge. Evening excursion by canoe, spotting caiman, their eyes gleaming a bright red in our torchlight. Early breakfast and return to Puerto Maldonado on Day 4. (B,L,D)
