This unique archipelago of 19 islands located off the coast of Ecuador has inspired botanists and nature-lovers alike. Charles Darwin visited in 1835 and declared "remarkable; it seems to be a little world within itself." The islands are made up of the tops of volcanoes and flourishing with endemic species of plant, fish and reptile. The park is dedicated to the preservation of this evolutional mystery and visits are carefully co-ordinated.

When visiting the islands, passengers are accompanied by guides following well-defined paths. Groups do not exceed 16 passengers per guide ( this number will be lower depending on the season and size of craft ) and group landings are staggered for visitors to gain maximum benefit and ensure the wildlife is not disturbed. Adjustments in the itineraries may be made due to changes in the National Park policies, weather conditions or season. Prices do not include the National Park entrance fee of $100.
