Grande Description
The island
is situated in the Órgãos Saw, which belongs to the proteozoic
era. Its rocks are sintectonic represented by "granitóides".
Belongs to the same group of the Pão de Açúcar
of Río do Janeiro.
The contour
is undulating with 34 sharp ends and little peninsulas, 7 small bays
and 106 beautiful beaches of diverse characteristics. Mountainous topography
with several peaks. The most important ones are the Pico da Pedra d’Agua
and the Pico do Pagagaio.These areas are extensively vegetated and you
can also find dense forests, headlands, steeps, plains, rivers and caverns.
It has
a tropical weather, very hot and humid. Temperatures of the air are
between 15ºC - 30ºC. The water temperatures are between 18ºC
- 24ºC.

| Caicara Pousada |

This charming Pousada has a priviledged location on the sea front only a few minutes walk away from the centre of the village and the best restaurants in Villa do Abraao. Opened in January 2006, Caicara is a small, tranquil and friendly pousada, offering nine rooms all with their own veranda, air conditioning, a ceiling fan, TV and mini frige. All the rooms are bright, airy and tastefully decorated. Breakfast is provided in a lounge with a stunning view of the bay. After 5pm when guests return from outings, coffee, tea and biscuits are provided.

This charming pousada is located on the sea front only a few minutes walk from the centre of the village and the best restaurants in town. Gerard, its French owner, devotes personal attention to all guests. The rooms do not have TVs as he believes TV disturbs the peace of the island. The rooms are spacious and have air conditioning, ceiling fan, minibar, telephone and balconies with hammocks to rest while enjoying the magnificent view of the Abraao Bay. The pousada also has a Sauna.

All of Naturalia's suites are equipped with Air Conditioning, fridge-bar, private individual balcony with hammock, beautifully crafted wooden beds, excellent quality mattresses and security boxes. Eight of the suites have solar-heated water. Naturalia was built to accommodate contact with nature. You will enjoy the exuberance of the Atlantic Forest and a stunning view of the sea from the wide balconies. Located in the calmest corner in Abraao, you will be able to hear bird songs, the sea waves and simple sounds of nature. Naturalia is just 60 metres from the sea shore, with a tropical garden set the greenery of the Atlantic Forest.
