Fairmont Mayakoba

The Riviera Maya is located in Mexico on the Yucatan Peninsula. In the State of Quintana Roo, the Riviera Maya rests alongside the Caribbean Sea. The Fairmont Mayakoba, situated in the heart of the Riviera Maya, is approximately 42 miles or 70 km south of Cancun.

The Riviera Maya offers guests an exceptional selection of activities and excursions within 15-, 45- and 90-minutes of the hotel. Area attractions include the neighboring village of Playa del Carmen with its '5th Avenue' boutique shopping, unique handicrafts, restaurants and nightlife; the acclaimed Xcaret wildlife and nature reserve (20-minute drive); and the sunlit ferry ride to Cozumel (15-minute drive + 35-minute ferry ride). Planners can easily offer groups a wide variety of options, from 'cenote' (natural pools, wells and caverns) diving, to the creative inspiration of gallery tours or ceramic painting. Beach horseback riding excursions are popular at nearby Loma Bonita, while every conceivable water sport is offered along Playa del Carmen's easily accessible string of main beaches including Playa Tukan.

Created to harmonize with the unspoiled tropical forest, Fairmont Mayakoba's various areas are connected by a series of deep lagoons enabling easy movement from place to place throughout the resort development using complimentary 'lanchas', a covered canal boat service, as well as a network of well-marked nature trails. Environmentally friendly electric golf carts and bicycles are also available throughout the property.

Managed by Fairmont, the 18-hole, par 72 El Camaleòn is Greg Norman's first Mexican course design. Water comes into play throughout this championship course with two holes designed around captivating seaside features. The clubhouse includes a pro shop, lockers, bag storage, restaurant and bar.

401 guest rooms, including 34 suites, are located in a traditional low-rise hotel building and clustered throughout the property in 90 two-story Casitas with two to four rooms each. Categories range from generous Casita rooms to signature lagoon views and our exclusive beachfront Villas.

With the ambiance of a Mexican home, luxury amenities include comfortable beds and bathrooms, each with a soaker tub, a separate glass-walled shower stall and a double vanity. Large sliding doors open to furnished balconies or terraces, and all rooms offer both air conditioning and ceiling fans.

A 16,000 square foot Willow Stream spa features 20 treatment rooms including a unique couple's suite in the treetops, plus two mineral pools and steam rooms. A carefully crafted menu of services includes distinctive treatments, some of which incorporate indigenous ingredients and ancient native traditions. A full-service health club and beauty salon are also available.

Tempt your palate at one of the dining outlets which include a Mexican and international cuisine restaurant in the main building, Brisas del Mar, an elegant Oceanside restaurant with a high palapa roof and terrace seating for 50, a casual all-day pool grill, and a sunrise-to-sunset market cafe. Afternoon tea and coffee service, tropical cocktails and seasonal live music are offered in the lobby bar; a swim-up pool bar and 24-hour In-Room Dining are also available.
