Skorpios I

4 DAYS / 3 NIGHTS (FRIDAY - MONDAY)

“ADVENTURE ROUTE”
PUERTO CHACABUCO/ LAGUNA SAN RAFAEL/ PUERTO CHACABUCO

Friday: Reception at Balmaceda airport. Bus transfer to Coyhaique along a route of many attractions such as: The Agua de la Virgen Waterfalls, The Bridal Veil Waterfalls, Río Aysen and Simpson Bridges. At 18:00 hrs. - transfer to Chacabuco Port and embarkation on M/N Skorpios I, to sail towards San Rafael Lagoon at 20:30 hrs. - navigating by way of Aysén inlet, Punta Tortuga, Elena Island, Costa Channel, Estero Elefantes, to anchor at midnight in Punta Leopardos, 20 miles from the Glacier.

Saturday: 08:00hrs. - Entrance to San Rafael Lagoon by way of Río Témpanos canal; anchoring 2 kms. from the glacier. Excursions in “Hércules” motorboats amongst colorful icebergs. The tradition of whisky with millennium old glacial ice. In the afternoon the vessel moves in closer to the glacier.
Departure to Quitralco Fjiord at sunset.

Sunday: While docked at Quitralco, passenger can have thermal baths in covered or open-air swimming pools or take excursions in the
fjord in motorboats. Lunch consists of an Open Pit BBQ. Sail towards Puerto Chacabuco at mid-night.

Monday: 06:00 hrs. Weigh anchor at the Puerto Chacabuco dock.
07:00 hrs. Breakfast
08:00 hrs. Disembarkation of passengers for transfer by bus to the Balmaceda Airport for connection to Santiago.

5 DAYS/4 NIGHTS (MONDAY – FRIDAY)

“ADVENTURE ROUTE”
PUERTO CHACABUCO/SAN RAFAEL LAGUNA/ PUERTO CHACABUCO

Monday: Reception at the Balmaceda Airport. Transfer by bus to Coyhaique by way of a route of many attractions such as:
The Augua de la Virgen Water Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Bridges over the Aysen and Simpson Rivers. 18:00 hrs.
- transfer to Puerto Chacabuco and boarding of the M/N Skorpios I. 20:30 hrs. - set sail towards the Quiltralco Fjord.
Navigate to Aysen Inlet, Puerta Tortuga, Elena Island and Canal Costa.

Tuesday: Anchor at the Quiltralco dock, during the day passengers can take baths in open air or covered thermal pools,
take excursions in motorboats in the fjord, walks in the verdant forest & take optional fishing trips
(passengers must bring their own fishing equipment). Lunch consists of an Open Pit BBQ.


Wednesday: During the morning passengers can enjoy thermal and/or steam baths. 14:00 hrs. - M/N Skorpios I sails
towards the San Rafael Lagoon, navigating by way of the Canal Costa, Elefante Inlet & Punta Leopardes, to anchor
approximately 15 miles from the face of the San Rafael Glacier at 21:00 hrs.

Thursday: 09:00 hrs. - Entrance into the San Rafael Lagoon by way of the Tempanos River Canal, anchor 2 kms. from the Glacier.
Take excursions amongst the multicolored ice floes in “Hercules” motorboats. The tradition of whisky on millennium old glacial ice.
In the afternoon the vessel draws in closer to the glacier.

16:30 hrs. Set sail towards Puerto Chacabuco

Friday: 06:00 hrs. Dock in Puerto Chacabuco
07:00 hrs. Breakfast
08:00 hrs. - Disembarkation of passengers for transfer by bus to the Balmeceda Airport to take connecting flights to Santiago.

 
 
Skorpios II

7 DAYS / 6 NIGHTS (SUNDAY - VIERNES)

THE CLASSIC ROUTE NAVIGATION PROGRAM
PUERTO MONTT / LAGUNA SAN RAFAEL/ PUERTO MONTT

Saturday: 11:00 hrs. - Sail from the Puerto Montt Skorpios Terminal. Navigate through the archipelago of Llanquihue. Sighting of the city of Calbuco. Ancud Gulf, Chiloé archipelago, crossing of the Corcovada Gulf at midnight.

Sunday: 08:00 hrs. - Navigation through the Moraleda & Ferronave Canals, arrival at Puerto Aguirre at 11:00 hrs. The stopover in this fishing village will be for one and a half hours. 12:30 hrs. - sail through the Ferronave, Pilcomayo & Costal Canals. At approximately 21:30 hrs - anchor in the Hualas Fishing Village or Puerto Leopardes, 20 miles from the San Rafael Glacier.

Monday: 07:30 hrs. - Furrow through the San Rafael Inlet and the Témpanos Canal. 09:00 hrs. - Enter the Lagoon and anchor 2 kms. off the Glacier. 7:00 hrs. - set sail in the direction of Quiltralco Fjord.

Tuesday: 08:00 hrs. - anchor at the Quiltralco dock. After breakfast the passengers can take thermal baths in waters of 30º - 36ºC, in open-air and close pools. If the climate permits excursions in motorboats are available within the Fjord. 19:00 hrs. - Sail towards Chiloé, navigating through the Moraleda and Pérez Norte Canals

Wednesday: 08.00 hrs. - Navigating through the Leucayec Canal, there is a partial view of Melinka, in the Chonos Archipelago, an island that in times past was refuge to notorious pirates. Cross the Corcadova Gulf and sail along the east coast of Chiloé, anchor and view optional, if the climatic conditions permit, in Quellón or Queilen & continue navigation through the Yal Canal and Castro Inlet, arriving at the beautiful city of Castro at 21:00 hrs.

Thursday: 08:30 hrs. - Castro. After breakfast passengers can visit the handicraft markets, the museum, the Church and walk along the streets of this picturesque city. Optional tours to the city of Chonchi, a distance of 18 kms. are available. 12:45 hrs. – return to the Skorpios. 13:00 hrs. - sail through the Castro Inlet & the Lemy, Dalachaue, Ouicaví and Cabuco Canals. 21:00 hrs. Farewell dinner. 23:00 hrs. - arrival at Puerto Montt.
Friday: 08:00 hrs. - Anchor at the Tenglo Terminal dock. 08:00 – 09:00 hrs.- Disembarkation and transfer of passengers.
 
 
Skorpios III
 

THE KAWESKAR EXPLORERS ROUTE

ADDITIONAL NIGHT
Passengers that have decided to take the additional night, have a courtesy tour on saturday, prior to departure to the Torres del Paine National Park and visit to the Milodon Cave. (Price per person US$135.-)

Friday
Reception of passengers at the Punta Arenas Airport, transfer to the Skorpios office. Check-in.
17:00 hrs. Transfer by bus to Puerto Natales, arriving at 20:00 hrs.
20:15 hrs. Passengers embarkation. Welcome drink and dinner on board.

Saturday
09:00 hrs. Departure by bus to the Skorpios Terminal in Puerto Natales. Arrival to the Milodon Cave. One hour visit. Tour continues torwards the Torres del Paine National Park. Visit to Laguna Amarga and Torres del Paine. Arrival to the water fall Río Paine. Head torwards Nordenskjold viewpoint, sightseeing of the Cuernos del Paine. After this, we will go to the Lago Pehoé viewpoint. Return to Puerto Natales, visiting Lake Sarmiento, aproximately, at 16:00 hrs. This excursion includes pic-nic type lunch. Arrival to Skorpios Terminal in Puerto Natales at 18:00 hrs. Dinner on board.


Passengers without additional night

Day 1 Saturday
Reception of passengers at Punta Arenas airport, transfer to the Skorpios office. Check-in. During the afternoon, transfer by bus to Puerto Natales, arriving at 19.00 hrs. aprox to the Skorpios Terminal. Embarkation. 20.00 hrs. Welcome drink and dinner on board.
20:30 hrs. Ship sets sail from Puerto Natales, navegating the Patagonian Channels, Kirke Narrowness, Channel Morla Vicuña, Seno Unión.

Day 2 Sunday
During the morning, we will continue navigating through the Sarmiento Channel, Pitt Channel and Concepción Channel. 19.00 hrs. Arrival to the Antrim Fjord. Dinner on board. Dancing Party.

 


Day 3 Monday
08.00 hrs Visit to Pío XI Glacier, navegating in front of the glacier, the biggest of South America, with a surface of 1263 km2, belonging to the Bernardo O’Higgins National Park, the biggest national park in Chile.
12.30 hrs Ship weighs anchor from Seno Eyre and Grappler Channel. 16.30 hrs arrival to Puerto Edén, disembarkation in botes. Two hours excursion, visiting this village, located in Wellington Island. It’s first inhabitants were the kaweskar or alacalufes aborigines. This village doesn’t have any streets, only footbridges, were it is possible to take a walk arround town and go up to a viewpoint. Ship sets sail at 18.30 hrs from Puerto Edén, navigating through the Paso del Indio and Paso del Abismo.

Day 4 Tuesday
09.00 hrs visit to the Calvo Fjord were we will be able to appreciate four glaciers, of different shapes and colors. Excursions in “Hercules” boats (icebraker motorboats). Boats gets close to the Calvo Glacier, only if the weather conditions allow so. 13:00 hrs Ship set sail.
During the afternoon, navigation through the Peel Fjord. Visit to the Asia and Amalia Fjord. 18.00 hrs Ship sights
land in Villarrica Creek, trips on boats, if the weather conditions allow so. 23.00 hrs Ship sets sail.

Day 5 Wednesday
09.00 hrs Visit to the Montanas Fjord were we will be able to see five little glaciers that hook of from the hills to the sea.
Walking towards the glacier Bernal.
16:00 hrs Ship sets sail from the Montanas Fjord, cross of the Kirke Narrowness, during the night, the ship casts anchor
at Seno Ultima Esperanza. Farewell Dinner and Ball.

Day 6 Thursday
Navegating Seno Ultima Esperanza, 08.30 hrs arrival at Skorpios Terminal in Puerto Natales. 10.00 hrs passengers disembark,
transfer by bus to Punta Arenas.
