Chile is a country defined by its diverse landscapes from the pristine lakes, towering peaks and glaciers of Patagonia to the huge rock formations and geysers of its arid north.
One of the most iconic images of Chile is that of the the distinctive ‘Los Cuernos’ horn-shaped peaks in the Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia, one of the best national parks anywhere in the world, particularly for hiking enthusiasts. Both north and south of here you can embark on expedition cruises to immense remote glaciers. Northern Patagonia is dominated by the Chile's Lake District, an outstanding area of natural beauty, whose glistening lakes, verdant forest and European style towns give it a distinctly alpine feel.
Heading north, Chile's central region is charactarised by its pristine vineyards, whilst the Atacama Desert spreads out across the north of the country, famed for its cinematic rock formations, vast salt flats and billowing geysers.
