French Valley & Glacier Grey

Before embarking on this challenging 14 mile round hike, we will drive to Pudeto to catch one of the 30 minute Hielos Patagónicos ferries across Lake Pehoé (available 1st Nov - 31st Mar). We arrive in the foothills of Paine Grande then start trekking towards the French Valley, surrounded by sparkling lakes, steams and rivers and with panoramic views across to the Paine Massif, verdant forests and some hanging glaciers. En-route we follow the path through rocky areas and native forests, eventually arriving at the Mirador Grey. From here we can enjoy glorious views across the lake to the Glacier Grey, perhaps seeing huge chunks of ice detaching themselves from the glacier and crashing into the waters below, forming new electric-blue icebergs.
