This tour takes you out of Havana on a relaxing trip to the Las Terrazas Community, about an hour from the capital. Las Terrazas is a ground-breaking eco-village and activity centre, surrounded by natural beauty; lush vegetation, sparkling rivers and the Sierra del Rosario mountains.
It is here that we find some of Cuba's very first coffee plantations, including Buena Vista, which was established at the turn of the 19th century, when it was ran largely by slave labour. The area is also known for its migratory birds and indigenous reptiles, including what is thought to be one of the world's smallest frogs. The Rio San Juan makes for an extremely refreshing swim and frequenting the local restaurants and artist's workshops is a great way to relax.
