Vinales

Heading out of Havana today to the beautiful countryside in the Vinales Valley. On the way, we stop at the ecological reserve of La Moka and take a short walk exploring the area with rivers, waterfalls and rolling hills.  Continue to Viñales, where we take a walking tour of this picturesque provincial town. In the afternoon, we visit more of the surrounding countryside, including the underground river at El Indio caves and a tobacco plantation and workshop at Pinar del Rio. Return to Havana for the night.

This large boutique colonial house is a wonderful option for those preferring to stay in Havana's Vedado neighbourhood. It is tucked away down a quiet residential street, close to the Hotel Nacional, the Colon Cemetery and the Malecon waterfront. This area is known for its interesting shops, restaurants and night life, where many locals prefer to spend their evenings. Particular highlights are the Fabrica de Arte Cubano, perfect for cultural shows and live music, and the Patio de la Rumba African drumming on Saturday afternoons.

Three spacious bedrooms all have private ensuite facilities, air-conditioning and hairdyers, with one opening out onto a large living room and balcony overlooking the street. Guests can relax in the large living room, replete with elegant antique furniture, whilst breakfast is served in the traditional dining room.

Havana - First Hotel

The Santa Isabel Hotel is located in the very heart of Old Havana facing the charming Plaza de Armas (a cobbled square flanked by colonial-era buldings, museums & restaurants), a perfect location walking distance to Old Havana and the Malecon. A former mansion of the Santovenia Counts, the hotel came into being in 1867. Colonial grandeur can be admired with crystal chandeliers, period furnishings and the Spanish-styled courtyard takes one back in time.

The hotel has twenty-seven rooms all decorated in nineteenth-century style. There is a small inner courtyard, lobby bar, cafe, boutique, FREE W-Fi, and restaurant.

Bay of Pigs Museum and Cienfuegos tour

Morning departure for Cienfuegos, stopping on the way to visit the historic Bay of Pigs Museum, the site of the failed invasion in 1961. We continue to Cienfuegos, where we will spend the night, after taking a tour of this charming colonial city. Stroll along the wide boulevards and visit the monument to famous Cuban singer, Benny More. 

Zunilda & Raya

Cienfuegos - Tourist Homestead

Zunilda & Raya enjoys an excellent location  towards the end of the Punta Gorda Peninsula. It faces the bay on both sides, affording wonderful views across the water which are particularly spectacular at sunset or sunrise. The homestay is close to Palacio de la Valle and its rooftop bar and the popular Villa Legarto restaurant.

Rooms are spacious and well equipped, with private ensuite bathrooms, air conditioning and a fridge. Breakfast is served looking out to the bay from the terrace, with exotic fruits and juices adding a local flavour. The hosts are welcoming and helpful, offering advice and suggestions where necessary.

Located towards the end of the Punta Gorda Peninsula, Angel y Isabel is ideally situated for restaurants, spectacular sunset and sunrise views and soaking up the lively atmosphere. Guests can relax on the large roof terraces, enjoying 360 degree views across both sides of the water, particularly glorious at sunset or sunrise. There are interesting excursions up the hills on horseback or have fresh lobster on the nearby beach. At night soak up the atmosphere on the cafe terraces with live music and salsa dancing.
