Traverse the lakes and rivers of the Ecuadorian Amazon by canoe, a great way to see different plants and creatures.

Motorized canoes are a great way to explore the waterways of the Amazon basin, showing the forest from a different vantage point and getting you closer to certain plants and animals. In fact, to get to most lodges you have to arrive via motorized canoe, meaning the excitements starts straight away, perhaps with an early sighting of a caiman! Those staying at La Selva Lodge can enjoy a canoe ride on their small Garzacocha lagoon, whilst the Napo Wildlife Centre boasts its Añangucocha lagoon.
