Explore the Argentinean Falls

In the morning we explore the Argentinean side of the Falls. This is a great opportunity to appreciate the myriad of waterfalls, surrounding tropical forest and diverse wildlife as well as venture to the Garganta del Diablo or "Devils Throat" for a view from above the Falls. In the afternoon you have the flexibility to relax, or continue exploring Iguazu on your own.

In the morning we cross the border to discover the Brazilian side of the Falls which offers fantastic panoramic views of the river as vast torrent of water cascade over the falls. In the afternoon we fly to Rio de Janeiro and transfer to the hotel, close to Copacabana beach and the vibrant district of Ipanema.

City Tour of Rio de Janeiro

We begin our tour by visiting the famous Statue of Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado Mountain where you can admire spectacular 360° views of the city, tropical forest, granite peaks and bay. From here we visit the bohemian district of Santa Teresa, once home to the rich and famous it's now occupied by galleries, writers, musicians and artists. Our journey continues into the city centre for lunch at one of Rio's oldest coffee shops, after which you visit the Cathedral and travel into the historical district to admire the strong colonial architecture and charming atmosphere.

Continuing our journey we fly to Salvador and transfer to our hotel for 3 nights. Salvador is the heart of Brazilian identity with roots in Porguguese colonial history, blending with African culture, music, Candomble, Capoeira and the Orixa deities. This European and African blend has produced an explosion of creativity in the arts, music, dance and literature. The old town centre, the Pelourinho, was restored and became a UNESCO World Heritage Site with restaurants, art galleries and music centres in colonial houses.
