Annapurna Mountains walk
Travel by road to Nayapul, from where we walk for an hour to Sanctuary Lodge, in the Annapurna Mountains. The lodge has magnificent views of the sacred Fishtail Mountain, or Machhapuchre, as it is locally known. Lunch is at the lodge followed by an optional walk to the village of Birethanti or explore the surrounding river valley. The views and mountain air are truly invigorating.

Trek to Tomijong
Following a leisurely breakfast, we walk to Tomijong Lodge, located at 1,395 meters, built along the lines of a traditional Nepalese village. Every room has spectacular views of the surrounding valley and mountains. After lunch at the lodge, option to visit the local village of Tanchok where we visit a local house, now made into a museum.
Birethanti Lodge
Pokhara - Tourist Lodge
Over a suspension bridge bedecked with prayer flags, on a promontory overlooking the Modi Khola, sits the aptly named Birethanti Lodge, amid half a mile of river frontage and blooming lawns full of marigolds, poinsettias and butterflies. The lodge has 18 rooms, each with en-suite bathroom, hot running water, a comfy bed, cold bottled water, a hot water bottle—plus an Ayurvedic massage service, laundry, and FREE wifi.
Against the hum of the roaring river, you’ll find fine service and pleasant routine guiding life at the lodge: afternoon tea served at 4.30pm, happy hour with free drinks at six, a communal dinner at seven. At sunrise, guests gather outside for steaming cups of tea followed by breakfast of porridge and eggs, then most head out for their day's hike in the stunning mountains. A short walk takes you down a gentle hill is the trekker’s base in Birethanti. Modi Khola and the nearby subtropical forests are excellent for botanical and birdwatching expeditions.

Tomijong Lodge
Pokhara - Tourist Lodge
The traditional-style stone buildings of Mala Lodge huddle in the Annapurna lowlands amongst rice terraces, near to a quaint bee-keeping village. Getting here is an hour’s drive from Pokhara to Lumle, followed by a ninety minutes hike on a winding trail through a picturesque forest, past rice terraces and perfect panoramas.
The lodge has 18 new rooms, each with comfortable twin beds, slate floors, rafted ceilings, and spacious bathrooms with hot showers and pampering amenities.
This quiet and serene place set among tranquil gardens and paved terraces feels like a sanctuary, protected by looming Machapuchare, the Fishtail Mountain. It is not part of the regular trekking circuit and ideal for travellers seeking a more leisure exploration of the Annapurna lowlands.
One of the highlights is a trek to a local village through a pitchwork of fields and terraces.

After breakfast trek to the village of Chandrakot (1580 metres) through forests with surrounding views of the valley and mountains. We continue for a short walk to the village of Lumle, where we meet our vehicle and transfer to Pokhara, a journey of about 1-hour. Arrive Pokhara and the rest of the day at leisure.

Guided tour of Pokhara
Today enjoy a guided tour of Pokhara with your local guide visiting Bindabasini Temple, Gupteshwor Temple, the Gurkha Memorial Museum and the highlight, a cruise on beautiful Fewa Lake. This lake is the second largest lake in Nepal. The wooden boats at the lake with the endless book shops, lodges and restaurants along the lakeside make the whole environment vivid and vibrant. The famous Barahi temple is in the middle of the lake.

Drive to Chitwan National Park
This morning we drive to your chosen Lodge for a 2-night stay on full board basis. Royal Chitwan National Park is the first and best protected area in Nepal with an array of mammals such as the one-horned rhinoceros, tiger, leopard, sloth bear and wild bison, as well as more than 400 species of birds. In the afternoon, we take a traditional Patela boat ride downstream the Rapti River towards the western boundary of the park formed by Himalayan Narayani. Enjoy chilled sundowners and hot grilled snacks at sunset and a cultural performance at the lodge on the evening.

Full Day Tour of Thimphu
Enjoy a full day tour of Thimpu today, visiting the National Library, which holds a vast collection of ancient Buddhist texts and manuscripts, the Institute for Zorig Chusum - Commonly known as Arts and Crafts School or Painting School. We also visit the King's Memorial Chorten, Trashichhodzong an impressive fortress and monastery that houses Secretariat building, throne room of His Majesty, the King and various government offices. It is also the summer residence of Chief Abbot and central monk body. Visit the government-run Handicrafts Emporium and local crafts shops, to browse through example of Bhutan's fine traditional arts. Here you can buy hand-woven textiles, thangkha paintings, masks, ceramics, slate and wood carvings, jewellery, interesting items made from local materials.

Drive to Gangtey
In the morning, drive to Gangtey visiting Dochula Pass (Altitude 3080m) en route. The approach to Phobjikha valley is through a forest of oak and rhododendron. Phobjikha is one of the few glacial valleys in Bhutan and chosen home of black necked cranes (from November till February), which migrate from the central Asiatic Plateau to escape its harsh winters. The Black Neck Crane Festival is celebrated here in November, a truly memorable experience. On arrival at Gangtey, check-in to your chosen hotel for a 2-night stay on a full board basis. Later this afternoon, take a walk around Gangtey village and visit Gangtey Goempa, the only Nyingmapa monastery in this region.

Gangtey Monastery and Phobjikha Valley
Up early to take part in the Morning Prayers at Gangtey Monastery. You are welcome to explore the monastery and experience everyday life of monks deeply rooted iBuddhist philosophy. After breakfast, explore Phobjikha valley, a remote valley which is the winter home of black necked cranes, which migrate from the arid plains of Tibet in the north, to pass the winter months in a milder climate. The valley boasts two beautiful meandering rivers, Nakay Chhu (Chhu Naap-black water) and Gay Chhu (Chhu Karp-white water).

Paro Valley
Morning drive to the beautiful valley of Paro, an area rich in culture, scenic beauty and hundreds of myths and legends. It is home to many of Bhutan's oldest temples and monasteries, and the National Museum. En-route visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress of the country built in 1627 which now houses the School for Buddhist studies. On arrival in Paro, check into your chosen hotel for a 3-night stay on a full board basis. After lunch, proceed to visit Ta Dzong, originally built as Watchtower, which now houses National Museum. Continue to Rinpung Dzong, built in 1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, the first spiritual and temporal ruler of Bhutan.

Hike to Taktshang Monastery
One of the highlights of this journey, a trek to Taktshang Monastery, perhaps the most famous of Bhutan’s monasteries, perched on the side of a cliff 900m above the Paro valley floor. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery and hence it is called ‘Tiger’s Nest’. Ponies are available to reach until first viewpoint.

Today we visit the Haa Valley, extraordinarily picturesque and culturally rich with famous sites such as the 7th century Lhakhang Karpo (White temple) and Lhakhang Nagpo (Black temple) at the foothills of a venerated three brotherly mountains known as Meri Puensum. A wonderful final day in Bhutan.
