Explore the Brazilian side of Iguassu Falls

Transfer to Rio airport for flight to Iguassu. We take a guided tour of the Brazilian side of these mighty falls, walking on walkways above the thunder of the gushing water. Nothing will prepare you for your first sight of this natural wonder; it is truly awesome. The well maintained and located walkways above the falls will provide some superb photo opportunities. 

We then cross the border to Argentina and check into our lodge located close to the Iguassu Falls where we over night including breakfast. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Located in the forest outside of the town of Puerto Iguazu, and 15 minutes from the falls, La Cantera Jungle Lodge has rooms distrubited in a series of bungalows connected by raised walkways. Iguazu Falls Argentinean side and Buenos Aires

This morning, we take a guided tour of the falls from the Argentinian side (the larger of the two sides), where you will explore this vast area on secure walkways over numerous cascades reaching the largest waterfall of all - Devil's Throat. You will feel refreshed and invigorated.

Later in the day, we transfer to the airport and fly south to Buenos Aires for a 3-night stay on a bed and breakfast basis.

Today enjoy a full day excursion onto the lake, visiting the floating islands of Uros where you will meet the villagers whose lifestyles have remained the same for many years. Today, we depart on the Vistadome train from Cusco following the beautiful Urubamba River leading us to the breathtaking ruins of Machu Picchu. On arrival, enjoy a guided tour of this extra-ordinary wonder of the ancient world. Your guide will bring to life this mountain top citadel of the Inca empire. It is a truly memorable experience. Return to Cusco

This morning is free to explore the area around Machu Picchu at your leisure. You may wish to climb Huayna Picchu, a steep climb but well worth it for the fantastic views of the valley and a different perspective of Machu Picchu. Alternatively, there is a gentle climb, back along the Inca Trail, to Intipunku: the Gate of the Sun, and the first sight one has of the complex if walking the Inca Trail. In the afternoon, we return to Cusco by train for a 2 night stay with breakfast included.

Cusco is one of those places in the world that is so appealing you really won't want to leave. It is a sheer joy observing the locals in their colourful clothing mingle with the tourists in this elegant colonial mountain setting. People-watching in a local cafe is a popular pastime in this enchanting city. So enjoy your final day in the land of the Incas; no doubt still fathoming how the Incas could build such imposing castles, towns and cities high in the Andes.
