Depart on an overnight flight to Santiago de Chile, arriving the next morning.
Guided tour of Santiago
On arrival at Santiago airport, you will be met by our representative who will take you to your hotel for 3 nights. In the afternoon we tour the city, visiting the 'Plaza de Armas' main square, the Presidential Palace and take the funicular railway up to the San Cristóbal mountain, affording extensive views of the city below and the snowcapped Andes stretching into the distance.
Full day visit to Viña del Mar & Valparaiso
Today, enjoy a full day excursion to the Pacific coast. First we visit Viña del Mar, the most famous and visited seaside resort with nickname 'Garden City', due to its many palms, parks and gardens. Next we explore Chile's main port Valparaiso, a UNESCO World Heritage site in a picturesque setting, enhanced by the surrounding hills that seem to dive into the Pacific ocean.

Today is free for you to further explore Santiago at your leisure or take an optional excursion to the vineyards on the outskirts of the city.
Santiago de Chile - Boutique
Su Merced is renovated townhouse, small boutique hotel with only 9 rooms. Its location in the Lastarria area opposite the park in the heart of Santiago making it ideal for visiting the artistic, bohemian area of Bellavista, the main square Plaza de Armas, Presidential Palace and downtown. The rooms are comfortable and modern though rather small, and and the hotel has a restaurant and bar on which doubles as the reception.
Santiago de Chile - Deluxe Hotel
The Hotel Plaza San Francisco is just a short distance from the heart of Santiago. There are 160 rooms with air conditioning, telephone, cable TV, safety box and mini bar. Travel to the Chilean Lake District
Transfer to the airport and fly south to Puerto Montt, gateway to the Chilean Lake District. From here, we take a scenic drive through beautiful rolling countryside to picturesque Puerto Varas on the shore of Lake Llanquihue, framed by the mighty snowcapped Osorno volcano. Lunch is included today.
Across the Andes
We head into the Andes today on an adventure from Chile to Bariloche in Argentina. Travelling by bus and boat we visit Vicente Perez National Park with its impressive Petrohue waterfall and volcanic rock shapes. We then cross Todos Los Santos Lake by boat arriving in Puella. From here, we travel by bus to the border and cross into Argentina. We travel amidst stunning mountain scenery by boat across Lake Frias and continue by bus to Puerto Blest, where we go afloat on the final passage, across the magnificent Nahuel Huapi Lake. One final bus ride takes us to our hotel in Bariloche where we stay for 2 nights and a chance to relax after a truly memorable day. Lunch is included today.
Argentinean Lake District excursion
Enjoy a full day tour of scenic lakes, mountains and walks along the trails of the Argentinean Lake District 'Seven Lakes Road', visiting La Angostura and San Martin Los Andes.
Bariloche & Lake District - First Hotel

Transfer to Bariloche airport and fly to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival you will be met at the airport by our representative and taken to your hotel for 3 nights. You have the rest of the day free to relax and start exploring the city on your own.
Guided tour of Buenos Aires
Enjoy a full day guided tour of the "Paris of South America". We visit La Boca to see the brightly coloured houses in the famous 'Caminito', the Cathedral and the Presidential Palace with its famous balcony where Eva Perón and numerous presidents have made their public appearances. End the afternoon at Recoleta, famous for its European architecture, trendy shops and street cafes.

Iguassu Falls, the Argentinian side
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Iguassu, staying 2 nights at our hotel set within the Iguassu National Park with a spectacular view of the magnificent Iguassu Falls. We have plenty of time to walk the trails by the river and tropical rainforest, admire the panoramic view of the numerous waterfalls, and go birdwatching.

Transfer in the morning to explore the Brazilian side of the waterfalls for a panoramic view and relaxing at the falls. Iguazu Falls - Tourist Lodge
Located in the forest outside of the town of Puerto Iguazu, and 15 minutes from the falls, La Cantera Jungle Lodge has rooms distrubited in a series of bungalows connected by raised walkways. Today enjoy a full day tour in the company of our local guide visiting Rio's famous landmark, the statue of Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado mountain, granting fabulous views of the city and Guanabara Bay. Next we will visit the old quarter of Santa Teresa and the centre of Rio de Janeiro with its historic Cathedral, museums, cafés and bustling business district.

This morning is at leisure in Rio, before late afternoon transfer to the airport for your return overnight flight home. Or choose to extend your holiday to unwind on a beach resort near Rio de Janeiro.
Rio de Janeiro - Tourist Hotel
The Ipanema Inn has a wonderful location in the trendy residential district of Ipanema with numerous shops, bars and restaurant and only 300 meters from the beach.
