Silence reigns, shattered only by the thunderous roar of ice breaking off the glacier and punctuated by the unearthly groans of the creaking glacier. In the company of our expert local guide, we hike along the paths and by glacial streams to the best look out points and take a fascinating boat ride dodging floating icebergs for a different perspective of the glacier and wonderful photo opportunities.
