Travel to Puerto Madryn
Fly to Trelew, from where we transfer to our hotel in Puerto Madryn, located on the coast in Northern Patagonia. The city has white sandy beaches and a delightful promenade with stylish cafes and restaurants. We stay in Puerto Madryn for 3 nights for in-depth exploration of the Valdes Peninsula.
Enjoy a full day excursion to the nearby Península Valdés, home to much wildlife including sea lion colonies, penguins, seals and many species of birds. Between the months of June to November, we take a boat trip out to sea to observe the Southern Right Whales that make this area their breeding ground.
A further day of guided explorations enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of Puerto Madryn and exploring the Valdes Peninsula, listed in 1999 by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The area of the Peninsula is vast, covering over 1,400 square miles. We see some salt lakes and hope to spot the Argentine grey fox, pichi, rheas, maras and guanacos and other species in the company of your expert local guide.
Puerto Madryn & Peninsula Valdes - Tourist Hotel

The town lies in the shadow of the towering Andes; as soon as you get off the plane, you will have a special feeling at being at the end of the earth. On arrival, we transfer to our hotel for 2 nights.
Lapataia Bay, Tierra del Fuego
A full day excursion to Lapataia Bay in Tierra del Fuego National Park. We hike with our expert Veloso guide through a stunning landscapes of forests, lakes, streams and snow-capped mountains. Beavers' dams cover the area, and, with luck, we may see some at work. After an invigorating day, we return to Ushuaia.

Morning flight to El Calafate, gateway to Los Glaciares National Park. El Calafate is a characterful town on the southeastern shore of Lago Argentino. Here, many species of birds congregate, including the Magellanic oyster catcher. Transfer to your hotel where we stay for 3 nights. Rest of the day at leisure enjoying the town's excitable atmosphere. There are many cafes, bars and bistros to relax and enjoy.
Perito Moreno Glacier
We set off early on what for many is the highlight of this tour, a full day excursion to the breathtaking Perito Moreno Glacier. This incredible mass has a 4km frontage and a height reaching 70m. Silence reigns, shattered only by the thunderous roar of ice breaking off the glacier and punctuated by the unearthly groans of the creaking glacier. In the company of our expert local guide, we hike along the paths and by glacial streams to the best look out points and take a fascinating boat ride dodging floating icebergs for a different perspective of the glacier and wonderful photo opportunities.
Optional visit to Upsala Glacier
Today you can relax in El Calafate or take an optional excursion to visit the Upsala Glacier, located in the nearby Los Glaciares National Park. Often overshadowed by the Perito Moreno Glacier, the Upsala Glacier is well worth exploring as you travel by boat up to the northwestern end of Lago Argentino through icebergs and floating ice - its an invigorating experience.

This morning we transfer to Punta Arenas and take an afternoon flight to Santiago de Chile for your final night in Chile. A beautiful city situated in a plateau with the snowcapped Andes stretching alongside, Santiago de Chile has extensive parks and gardens, a bustling centre with tree-lined avenues and the Cerro San Cristóbal and a hilltop reached by funicular railway, which gives us superb views of the city and surroundings.

Santiago de Chile - Boutique
Su Merced is renovated townhouse, small boutique hotel with only 9 rooms. Its location in the Lastarria area opposite the park in the heart of Santiago making it ideal for visiting the artistic, bohemian area of Bellavista, the main square Plaza de Armas, Presidential Palace and downtown. The rooms are comfortable and modern though rather small, and and the hotel has a restaurant and bar on which doubles as the reception.
Santiago de Chile - Deluxe Boutique
This handsome townhouse, built in 1927, has been renovated and converted into a luxury boutique hotel, with all its original architectural splendour. Filled with European style and sophistication, the 14 rooms were designed to make guests feel at home. The hotel retains the back garden of the original house, complete with a small pool. The hotel has a simple snack bar, but there are many bars and restaurants nearby.
