Tarabuco Market
Sunday is market day in Sucre, so our guide to take you on a tour of the city including a visit to this most authentic and lively of markets. Here, locals from miles around descend to sell their wears; textiles, fruits, vegetables, arts, crafts and clothes. Everything is on display in an atmosphere of rural excitement. Tarabuco is one of Latin America's most famous local markets and a joy to experience.
Our tour also visits the main square with white buildings and the central garden, the narrow streets, Recoleta Convent, the Cathedral, museum and House of Liberty. Lunch is included today.

Today, enjoy a full day guided tour of Potosi with your expert local guide. We visit a myriad of exhausted silver mines of Cerro Rico and Potosi's former Mint, now a museum.
The city itself is full of delightful colonial architecture, particularly Plaza 10 November lined with characterful buildings. We also visit the cathedral and several churches.

Exploring the Atacama Desert
A further day of explorations today in the extraordinary Atacama Desert. We take a trek in the desert, where your guide will take you to the best places for photography.
You will gain an in depth understanding onto the geology, fauna and flora that thrives here. We also visit a local museum with Pre-Colombian artifacts.

The Terrantai Lodge is a well-hidden retreat, from the street one would assume it is another adobe house, but upon entering you come across a small maze, with a few of the rooms having both a front door and patio door.
There is a pleasant outdoor restaurant which captures the cool breeze and the staff are always on hand. Accommodation is full board and airport transfers and daily excursions are included.
A range of excursions are offered which allow you to discover the natural wonders and beauty of the surrounding area. These include visits to salt flats, the Moon Valley, petroglyphs, ruins, geysers, lagoons and many other attractions. Some excursions are on foot, others by jeep and there is also the opportunity to explore on horseback.

Covering an area of 17 hectares outside the town of San Pedro, Explora Lodge is a complex of gardens and walkways with modern architecture, comfortable accommodation and many facilities. Explore Cachi
Today we visit the small town of Cachi, in the Calchaqui Valley near to Salta. The town is known for its abode houses and white colonial buildings. We visit the Iglesia San Jose, a Spanish colonial church located in the centre of the town.
We also explore the Museo Arqueologico de Cachi Pio Pablo Diaz with its locally excavated artifacts, some dating as far back as 10,000 years ago. After visiting the town, we travel to nearby villages in the scenic, sow-capped Nevado de Cachi mountains.

Tour to Cafayate
Your guide will take you to Cafayate today, a small town in Salta province set in the Calchaquí Valleys, an area known for its reddish rock formations. Here, there are vineyards covering most of the agricultural land, and in Cafayate we visit the Museo de la Vid y el Vino and discover the process of winemaking used in this remote region of Argentina.
We also visit the town square are the Rodolfo Bravo Regional and Archaeological Museum, with objects from local excavations, and the 19th-century Our Lady of the Rosary cathedral.

Visit Purmamarca and Humahuaca
In the morning, we visit Purmamarca one of Argentina's most beautiful villages, with adobe houses and a small Spanish colonial church - all set against the backdrop of the spectacular Cerro de los Siete Colores (the Hill of Seven Colours). The scenery and setting is a delight.
In the afternoon, we continue to Humahuaca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to the jagged, colourful mountains that look like sticks of rock you would buy at the seaside. We visit the archeological museum, a local market and charming Fransican church.
