A beautiful lakeside city in the south of Nepal, gateway to the Annapurna trekking cuicuit.

Pokhara is located in central Nepal and famous for its scenic Phewa Lake. It is also the base from where you can explore the Annapurna Circuit, in in the Himalayas. Here, you will trek high in the mountains through rural villages, stunning sunrises and sunset and stay in huts and lodges, often owned by former Gurkhas.

In Pokhara, worth visiting is the Tal Barahi Temple, a 2-story pagoda that is located on an island in the lake.

Pokhara has a lovely atmosphere, with excellent restaurants, cafes and places to relax and practise yoga - ideal after along trek. The International Mountain Museum has exhibits on the history of mountaineering and the people of the Himalayas.
