Lima - Tourist Hotel
This small contemporary hotel is located in the heart of Miraflores, with plenty of access to local conveniences such as restaurants and shops. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and modern although simple in character, and all with modern amenities such as WiFi, air conditioning and private facilities. Guided Tour of the Sacred Valley
Enjoy our full day tour of the Sacred Valley. We begin with a visit to the market at Chinchero, where locals come to barter and sell local produce and handicrafts. We also visit a local weaving collective, to learn the traditions of weaving by hand on a back-strap loom. Next you will proceed to Moray, thought to have been an open-air crop laboratory of the Incas, followed by the pre-Inca salt pans of Maras. After lunch, visit the stunning fortress town and ruins of Ollantaytambo. This large archaeological complex is believed to have been a significant agricultural, administrative, social, religious and military centre. After an included lunch, we travel to the colonial town of Pisac, built on the ruins of an Inca citadel and located at the entrance to the immensely fertile Urubamba "Sacred" Valley. Here you can see the bustling market and admire the sunset over the mountains from the ruins.
Machu Picchu by Train
Take the scenic Vistadome train today to Machu Picchu. On arrival, enjoy a guided tour of the archaeological site providing an insight into the history of Machu Picchu and its discovery by Hiram Bingham in 1911. Lunch is included today as well as free time to explore and absorb the atmosphere. Return to the Sacred Valley in the evening.
Sacred Valley of the Incas - Tourist Hotel
The Pakaritampu Hotel is located in Ollantaytambo in the heart of the Sacred Valley; ideally situated for exploring the Sacred Valley, starting the Inca Trail, and taking the train to Aguas Calientes.
