The People's Park in Chengdu is one of China's great gathering places for locals. This large park is home to a number of teahouses, where families and friends meet to enjoy bottomless cups of traditional Chinese tea, replenished with water from flasks. Joining them is a wonderful way to observe local life, soak up the sights and sounds of the park whilst tasting authentic local tea. Those brave enough might even want to indulge in the ear cleaning services on offer. There are also some daily tea pouring ceremonies, with tickets available from the teahouses, you can ask your guide to help you with this.

Whilst in the park you can wander the sculptured gardens, listen to music gatherings and admire the koi ponds.
