Arrive Santiago in the morning. On arrival, you will be met by your Veloso Tours guide and transferred to your chosen hotel for a 2 night stay on a bed and breakfast basis. Your guide will give you a short orientation tour of the area around your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Su Merced is renovated townhouse, small boutique hotel with only 9 rooms. Its location in the Lastarria area opposite the park in the heart of Santiago making it ideal for visiting the artistic, bohemian area of Bellavista, the main square Plaza de Armas, Presidential Palace and downtown. The rooms are comfortable and modern though rather small, and and the hotel has a restaurant and bar on which doubles as the reception.

This handsome townhouse, built in 1927, has been renovated and converted into a luxury boutique hotel, with all its original architectural splendour. Filled with European style and sophistication, the 14 rooms were designed to make guests feel at home.
The hotel retains the back garden of the original house, complete with a small pool. The hotel also has a simple snack bar, but there are many bars and restaurants nearby.

The Hotel las Torres was once an Estancia that has now been developed for tourism with comfortable, purpose built accommodation with private facilities and heating; restaurant, bar and social area. The Hostel is ideally located for those wishing to trek along the Ascension River and up to the 'Towers', the rocky peaks with towering above a lake. Visits to Lago Grey on the other side of the park are possible with private transport and excursions arranged at the hotel.
The rooms of the hotel provide a cozy atmosphere, being the perfect setting to relax and enjoy after a long days excursion. Central heating, box spring beds, telephones and private bathrooms in a rustic yet elegant decoration provide the ideal ambience in our superior rooms for resting and preparing the next days activities.

Looking out across the lake, the hotel has been designed to blend in with the surrounding forest of lengua trees.
Its restaurant and bar overlook Glacier Grey and all the rooms are centrally heated. From here you can walk to Peninsula Grey, a craggy outcrop surrounded by icebergs, directly opposite the glacier face or get even closer by taking a boat trip from the lodge to the glacier.
The rates are on an all-inclusive basis, with transfers from Punta Arenas or Puerto Natales, boat trip to Grey Glacier, all meals and drinks from an open bar included.

Awasi Patagonia is located in a private reserve just outside Torres del Paine, with impressive views of the Torres and Lake Samiento.

Explore Sea Lion Island
Sea Lion Island is one of the smallest and most southerly inhabited islands in the Falklands, ye remains a premier destination due to the sheer abundance of wildlife concentrated in such a small area. The island is a designated National Nature Reserve and Ramsar site and is free of introduced predators such as cats and rats. Beautiful tussac plantations cover one fifth of the island and are alive with Falkland thrushes, Black-throated finches, Tussacbirds and Magellanic penguins.
Large numbers of Elephant seals and Southern Sea Lions can also be found on many of the island’s spectacular beaches.
There are 47 different species of breeding birds to be viewed on the Island which include three species of breeding penguins and five birds of prey and the internationally endangered Striated Caracara. Pods of Killer whales can be seen close to the shore attracted by the many seals and penguins that breed here.

Pebble Island
Today we take a domestic flight to Pebble Island where we stay for 2 nights on a full board basis.
At 31 kilometres long, is the third largest offshore island and is home to the longest sand beach in the Falklands. Pebble was given its present name in the 1760 after a beautiful semi-precious pebbles were discovered on its western beaches. The landscape of Pebble Island varies greatly from pristine beaches, moor lands and rocky peaks to an extensive area of ponds and wetlands, and dramatic coastal cliffs. All of these provide vital breeding habitats for an incredible list of some 42 resident bird species including some rare and elusive species. The deep ponds on the east of the island, many of which are within walking distance of the lodge, are home to Chiloe wigeon, Silvery grebes, Black-necked swans and multitude of other wildfowl and wading birds. Many thousands of Gentoo, Rockhopper and Magellanic penguins breed on Pebble Island each summer.

Stanley City tour
This morning we fly back to Stanley and transfer to The Waterfront Hotel for a 3 night stay on a bed and breakfast basis. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided Stanley City Tour with your private guide/driver, taking in the highlights of Stanley and surrounding area. Depending on your personal wishes they may wish to take in a tour of Gypsy Cove to see the Magellanic penguins there; shipwrecks in the harbour such as the Lady Liz; and other areas of historical interest and natural beauty. It also includes a trip to the museum which is non-guided.

Day trip to Volunteer Point
Volunteer Point is approximately a 2 hour drive from Stanley, a white sandy beach with turquoise waters. The tropical appearance paired with the numbers of King, Gentoo and Magellanic penguins give this destination a surreal quality. In addition to the largest accessible King penguin colony in the Islands there is a host of other wildlife to be seen. The sandy white beach is approximately 2km (1.25 miles) bordered by high grassy banks leading down to rolling greens providing the ideal habitats for three breeding species of penguins: Gentoo, Magellanic and King. Enjoy the superb photographic opportunities offered by penguins entering and leaving the ocean and the pristine surroundings. It is a wonderful days exploration.

History of the Falklands tour
Today we discover the history of the Falkland Islands in the company of a knowledgeable guide. We visit some of the Mountain sites (Tumbledown, William. Harriet and Two Sisters) that became household names during the 1982 conflict between Britain and Argentina, before moving onto Fitzroy to see memorials to the troops lost in the bombing of the British logistic ship Sir Galahad and Sir Tristam. This tour includes the chance to see several air crash sites.
