Best Time to Visit Peninsula Valdes

Peninsula Valdes is a UNESCO World Hertigate Site and one of Argentina's most remarkable wildlife reserves. Its unique geography attracts an incredible varietyof marine and terrestrial species throughout the year, making timing your visit especially rewarding.

Spring & Early Summer (October to December)

October and November are ideal months for observing a wide array of wildlife. Elephant seals, sea lions, and Magellanic penguins are particularly active during this time, as many are breeding or caring for their young. The weather is pleasant, and boat trips from Puerto Piramides offer excellent chances to spot Southern Right Whales before they migrate away for the season.

Whale Watching Season (June to December)

Southern Right Whales begin to arrive in June and remain until December, with the peak months typically being July to September. These majestic creatures come to the calm, shallow waters off the coast to breed and give birth, offering one of the best whale-watching expereinces in the world. Boat tours provide the opportunity to witness tem up-close, often breachinng and fluking dramatically.
