Francis Ford Coppola and his wife acquired this beachside hideaway in 2001 creating an idyllic refuge for those seeking a relaxing or adventure-filled break in Belize. The hotel is located a short bicycle ride or walk from the charming sea-front fishing village of Placencia, where local artisan shops and dining spots can be enjoyed.
Public areas include a stunning swimming pool, spa, bar, lounge, gift shop, restaurant (serving Italian cuisine), well kept gardens and private white sandy beach.
The 25-room seafront rooms are all individual thatched cottages, decorated with handcrafted Balinese furnishings, naturally cooled by the ever-present sea breezes. Each cottage has a ceiling fan, private bathroom, porch and privacy. Some have views of the sea; others the gardens.
There are many activities on offer including scuba diving, snorkelling, fishing trips, cycling, birdwatching, yoga, paddle boarding and zip wire adventures.
