Head to Lake Titicaca to visit the birthplace of the Inca Empire and one of the country's most important churches.
This excursion starts with an early transfer by road to Chua, on the shores of Lake Titicaca and home to one of the country's most important churches. You will then board a catamaran to sail to the Isla del Sol (Sun Island), considered the cradle of the Inca Empire, to see the water of the Eternal Youth and visit a site museum. Then cruise to Copacabana, the main religious centre of Bolivia, with the famous Dark Virgin of Copacabana, set in a great colonial cathedral. Head back to La Paz late afternoon.
Your guide will meet at your hotel to start your visit to Copacabana. Private transportation from La Paz, crossing the highlands until reaching Lake Titicaca, you will cross it in the strait of Tiquina and continue in a road with great views of the lake and the Andes Range until the town of Copacabana. Visit its impressive church with the famous Dark Virgin of Copacabana. Then a delicious fish for lunch and in the afternoon visit "Horca del Inca", a pre-Colombian center of astronomical observation. Return to La Paz.
