Morning excursion and travel to Brasilia

This morning we will say goodbye to the lodge, but not before enjoying a canoe trip to see the fresh-water pink and grey dolphins in small channels (Igarapés), flooded forest areas (Igapós) and in the rivers and lakes, just paddling and hearing the sounds of jungle. We then transfer to Manaus airport for your flight to Brasilia where we stay for 1 night.

Brazil's ultra-modern capital city is very different from the typical Brazilian cities, with its very modern architecture. The city plan consisted of a central line of government buildings crossed by a curved arc of residential buildings - a layout that resembled the shape of a bow and arrow. Explore the city's residential areas made up of six-story 'super blocks' along the curve of the bow, and at the tip of the arrow stand the government buildings. The included guided tour will show the main areas of interest including the amazing Metropolitan Cathedral, shaped like a crown of thorns, with a wonderful stained glass ceiling.
