Drive to the peaceful town of Barreirinhas, located on the waterfront of Preguiças River and gateway to the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park. The park has stunning gigantic sand dunes sculpted by nature and from March to September contains hundreds of lakes formed by rainwater.
After checking into your hotel for a 1-night stay including breakfast), take a tour in a 4x4 vehicle to get to the heart of the Park, where we walk in the blue pond circuit with bath on pond and contemplation of the beautiful sunset in the dunes. Return to Barreirinhas where the rest of the day is at leisure in this lovely town.

Barreirinhas - Atins
After breakfast, enjoy a speedboat ride on the majestic Preguiças river, and explore the channels, mangroves, buritis, Juçara's trees (açai), tucunzeiros, as well as observing herons and kingfishers.
We will make stops on communities of Vassouras, Mandacaru, a small fishing village and Caburé, where sand dunes divide the river and the Sea.
After lunch, continue to Atins and check into your chosen hotel for a 2-night stay including breakfast.

Exploring Atins
After breakfast, take a 4x4 vehicle tour to “Canto do Atins”, where we walk through beautiful dunes of the park and swim in the waters of the ponds that form only during the rainy season.

Atins - Parnaiba
After breakfast, travel by 4x4 vehicle to Tutóia City through miles of deserted beaches to the small town of Paulino Neves and further on to the jetty for a speedboat journey across the Delta.
The cruise includes a crab catching demonstration, passing São Bernardo Island with its remote small church and a swim stop at Morro do Meio. After the cruise, we continue to Parnaíba, where we stay for 1-night including breakfast.

After breakfast, travel by 4x4 vehicle to Jericoacoara, enjoying a panoramic tour visiting Camocim, Ilha do Amor, the beaches of Tatajuba, Guriú and Mangue Seco.
On the way, we will pass by dunes, ferry crossings and a wonderful view of several deserted beaches. At the end of the tour, check-in to your chosen pousada or hotel in Jericoacoara for a 2-night stay including breakfast.

Today we take a buggy designed for travelling on the incredible and memorable sand dunes exploring Jericoacoara National Park.
We will see the striking Sloth Tree (Árvore da Preguiça), observe the seasonal ponds, visit the Blue Lagoon and Paradise where we stop for swimming. The photo opportunities today are outstanding.
