Picinguaba Pousada

Pousada Picinguaba is located in a small fishermen's village in the heart of the Serra do Mar National Park, hidden in a peaceful, quiet bay about 30 minutes south of Parati. Almost unreachable until the Rio-Santos road was built, the Vila passed isolated years totally dedicated to fishing activities. The Picinguaba Pousada is ideal for those who are seeking a relaxing retreat where you will meet few other tourists.

With a small number of comfortable bedrooms, with balcony and hammock, the Pousada provides privileged spirit and service. This little hotel wants to fit perfectly in the surrounding nature and emphasises its eco-friendly and sustainable principles (no air conditioning, no TV, no internet, they have created the Picinguaba Sustainable NGO and nearly all the staff are from the nearby village). The Pousada has a swimming pool, restaurant, and bar.  

The Pousada Picinguaba is the ideal base camp to enjoy sports, culture and nature. Ecological hikes to natural pools and secluded waterfalls, visits to distilleries of local "pinga" and mills of "farinha", kayaking or diving expeditions. A Pousada-owned motor-boat, the 42 foot escuna "Gatti" takes you to memorable diving and wandering adventures in the surrounding islands and desert beaches.

Rooms are on a breakfast and dinner basis.
