Fly from Santiago to Easter Island, quite an adventure in itself when you consider the remote location of the island way out in the Pacific Ocean. On arrival, transfer to your chosen hotel. The rest of day is at leisure.

Moai Statues
Today enjoy a full day guided your of Easter Island including a visit to Vaihu and Akahanga ahus, Rano Raraku, the quarry where the moais were made, and Ahu Tongariki with its 15 restored statues and nearby ancient petroglyphs. Drive to Anakena Beach, watched over by the impressive Ahu Nau Nau statues, where we stop on a white sandy beach for a picnic and a swim in the Pacific Ocean.

Crater Lake
Half day excursion to Rano Kau visiting the crater lake and ceremonial village of Orongo, where the birdman culture once chose its king. Afternoon at leisure with time to explore the town of Hangaroa and the Museum of Sebastian Englert.

Ahu Akivi
Today, visit Ahu Akivi with seven re-erected moai; legend claims these statues represent the seven explorers who were sent to Rapa Nui by the late King Hotu Matua. Continue to Hanga Poukura with tumbled moai statues and scattered topknots, and finally to the Tahai ceremonial site boasting 3 ahus, restored statues, remains of boathouses and a boat ramp.
Puku Vai
