Postcard in the Durrung Tea Estate

1400 acres of sprawling tea plantations form the backdrop to a stay at The Postcard in the Durrung Estate. The Durrung Estate is home to some fine teas where you can watch the theatre of plantation workers going about their day.

Whether it’s the Planters’ Bungalow or a Luxury Chalet, each of our twelve rooms come with the luxuries you’ve come to expect at The Postcard Hotel. But they also offer more. Each of the rooms preserve their original spirit taking you to the early origins of the tea trade in India, something that gives the rooms, and the hotel, an all important sense of place. All bungalows have private bathroom, free Wi-Fi, safe, hair dryer and private patio.

The restaurant offers a range of Indian cuisine, from the tangy fish tanga and aromatic bamboo shoot curry to the Pitha. There is also a lounge, swimming pool and vast grounds to enjoy.

Activities include a tour of the tea plantation, boat trip on the Brahmaputra River, a safari in Kaziranga National Park in search of the famed one-horned Rhino and visit to local villages.
