Discover the legacy of the Portuguese colonialists on this half-day guided tour.

Goa, also known as 'the pearl of the east', offers Gothic churches, age-old ruins, palm-fringed beaches, coconut groves, ferry rides, bubbly folk music and its 131-km-long coastline.

On a guided tour you will learn about Goa’s fascinating colonial history.

The Basilica of Bom Jesus at Old Goa is more than 400 years old. It holds the sacred relics of St. Francis Xavier, regarded by many Catholics as the patron saint of Goa. Once every decade, the body is taken down for veneration and for public viewing which is called the “Exposition.”

The Menezes Braganza Pereira house is more than 350 years old. This mansion is the most exquisite heritage house in the countryside, the biggest in Goa and also has a Portuguese style facade. It is a museum of chandeliers, paintings, porcelain, crystal, period furniture and other antique items.

The Ancestral Goa museum is an open air museum showcasing larger than life size statues and structures depicting culture and tradition of rural Goa.

The Se cathedral is a magnificent 16th century monument to the Roman Catholic rule in Goa under the Portuguese. The cathedral took more than 62 years to complete and offers beautiful views and interiors of Mosiac-Cornithian architecture.

The Archaeological Museum was established in 1964 and housed in the convent portion of the Church of St. Francis of Assisi. There is an impressive display of portrait paintings of governors and viceroys, wooden sculptures, pillars, capitals, postal stamps and other objects from the Portuguese period in Goa.
