Samode Safari Lodge, Bandhavgarh National Park

Samode Safari Lodge is set in 35 acres in the buffer zone of Bandhavgarh National Park, close to the village of Mardari. Inspired by iconic Indian royal expeditions, the lodge is committed to rewilding with a deep respect for the region’s environmental and cultural conservation.

Each of the 12 villas have a private courtyard, living room, bedroom and private deck. There are four-poster beds, private bathroom, leather armchairs, writing desk and a coffee machine.

Public areas include the lounge, a well-stocked bar, library, multiple dining spaces and a recreation room. The infinity pool sits next to the main lodge along with a spa with treatments. The lodge offers a continental menu during the day and transitions to an Indian menu for the evenings.

There are many activities to enjoy, the main one being a safari either during the day or in the evening. Bandhavgarh National Park is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers. Spanning 450 square kilometers, the park offers more than just tiger sightings. Its diverse ecosystem includes varied flora and fauna, set against a backdrop of rocky hills, dense forests, and meandering streams. Apart from tigers, visitors can spot leopards, deer, wild boar, and numerous bird species. Bandhavgarh also boasts a rich historical legacy, with ancient caves and rock paintings showcasing the region’s cultural heritage.
