This gorgeous little oasis sits in very pretty farmland and woodland just 1 hour from Jaipur by the village of Ramgarh.

There are 2 villas each with their own pool and lovely covered verandah / lunching area / shady chill out zone, replete with comfy daybeds and cushions. Built of warm, local stone, the villas each have a pretty central courtyard with the bedrooms, sitting room and dining room fanning off. Stone, local artefacts, colourful rugs, oodles of space, soft lighting, private balconies and excellent bathrooms are what it is all about inside.

Ingeniously designed, they are simply the most gorgeous pools and are made of different coloured slate tiles which glisten and sparkle through the water. Surrounded by wide, sun-filled terraces with plenty of daybeds, yet with a hugely inviting, shady gazebo replete with deep, cushioned sofas and dining area just to one side, one could spend hours or days relaxing here, gazing out to the hills and hardly believing the ‘buzz’ of Jaipur is just down the road.

The bedrooms are all different – some smaller and cosy, others larger and airy and spacious – and have been beautifully, rustically, simply but very comfortably furnished. The thick stone keeps the heat out but the warmth in and there are no end of places to snuggle up in with a good book or just for a daydream – either inside or out! Snug sitting rooms are perfect for the chillier winter nights and al fresco, poolside is idyllic on warm sunny days.
