A must experience in Flores – visit the Komodo National Park to see the legendary Komodo dragon. Cruise your way to Komodo National Park on one of the Phinisis. Leave early in the morning to catch the world’s largest lizard at its most active time, before they seek shelter from the sun and its heat.

You will be greeted by your ranger at Rinca Island, where majority of Komodo dragons inhabit. The ranger will guide you through a journey with fascinating stories of the legendary dragon and the island. Trek your way through the island to explore their habitats and reward yourself with a stunning view of the Flores sea as you reach the top of the hill of Rinca Island.

Continue your adventure and prepare to spend a splendid afternoon in the tropical waters of Komodo to two of the most beautiful islands in the National Park. The park being renowned as an important marine reserve, the area offers a diverse marine environment with colourful coral reefs and tropical fish. A picnic lunch will be severed onboard or on the beach of your favourite island in between your underwater journey for you to refuel.

Day 1 - set sail

Departure cruise from Labuan Bajo at 10:00am. On arrival in Labuan Bajo Airport will transfer by Plataran representative and sharing transfer from Labuan Bajo Airport. The beautiful Phinisi schooner Plataran Ambasi waits at the private jetty near Labuan Bajo. The journey starts with a sail over the blue ocean to Rinca Island, which is part of the Komodo National Park. Relax on board for the next three hours until arrival on the island with its famous inhabitants, the Komodo Dragons. The trek starts at the ranger station near the jetty in a small lagoon, and guided by experienced rangers the trek will lead to the unique lizards, which are most of the time relaxing hidden being branches or under the local people’s stilt-houses. After the trek, the cruise continues to Kalong Island where the Plataran Ambasi will be mooring for the night. Kalong is known for its mangrove forest and the “house of thousand bats”.

All meals will be served on the boat.

Day 2 - Padar and Komodo Island

Early in the morning the boat will set-off for Padar Island. After a short trek, witness one of the area’s most spectacular panoramic viewpoints from atop one of the island’s tallest hills. For those looking to come home with photos to make all their friends jealous, this is one of the best opportunities to be had, as there are virtually unrivalled views of the surrounding ocean, islands, bays and hills.

From Padar Island, continue to Komodo Island, arriving at the pier of Loh Liang. Komodo Island is the largest and most famous of all islands in Komodo National Park and covers 390 square-kilometers. It also has the largest community of Komodo dragons and many other animals such as wild horses, buffaloes and pigs. Set off for a 1½ hour trek under the guidance of a local park ranger who will explain all about the dragons and life on the islands. Pass by waterholes where animals drink and dragons watch their prey while enjoying endless views over the park.

Lunch is served on board.

Continue for a relaxed session of snorkelling and some relaxation at the world heritage Pink Beach (Pantai Merah). The beach has its colour from small red coral fragments that mix with the white sand.

Back on board, dinner is served on board slowly sailing to Siaba for overnight stay.

Day 3 - snorkelling safari

In the morning after breakfast you can enjoy snorkelling safari starting at Kanawa Island which is a beautiful small island with amazing corals. Afterwards, the Phinisi boat will bring you to another beautiful snorkeling around the Komodo sea at Bidadari Island. Bidadari Island is one of the closest snorkeling area from Labuan Bajo with the white sandy beach, it is located on the North West part of Labuan Bajo. Enjoy the snorkeling or just relaxing on beach.

Continue the sail to Labuan Bajo for farewell and disembarkation at around noon. You will transfer by Plataran representative and sharing Transfer to the hotel in Labuan Bajo
