Head south to visit to the "City of Eternal Spring" and Taxco's winding cobbled streets on a day trip from the capital.

Cuernavaca is the largest city of the state of Morelos. Nicknamed the "city of eternal spring" by Alexander von Humboldt, it boasts an excellent climate all year round. It is located only 50 miles south-west of Mexico City and is a popular destination for both Mexicans and visitors looking to escape the city, offering beautiful parks and gardens with bandstands, impressive cathedrals and churches and charming haciendas.

Cuernavaca can be combined with a trip to the hillside mining town of Taxco, noted for its winding cobbled streets, interesting architecture and silver jewellery production.
