Nestled between lush tropical gardens, a pristine white sand beach and the turquoise water of the Caribbean Sea, Mahékal is one of the most picturesque Hotels in Playa del Carmen.
The 121 rooms are divided into three sections, each with a different atmosphere - Caribe Ocean, Caribbean Garden view and Aventura Ocean. All rooms have private facilities, a patio or balcony with hammocks and air conditioned. Some rooms have their own plunge pool or outdoor shower. In keeping with a relaxed environment, there are no televisions, radios or telephones in the rooms.
The hotel's facilities include two pools and jacuzzi, two restaurants and bar. Water sports such as scuba diving or windsurfing can be arranged at the hotel. The hotel is conveniently located to the shops and restaurants of 5th Avenue, or La Quinta as it is known locally and only 50 minutes from Cancun Airport.
