River Rafting

Looking for a more high octane experience? Try your hand at rafting to take on the mighty Urubumba River.

If you're looking for a more adventurous and unusual activity during your time in Cusco, then how about the chance to experience some river rafting in the Sacred Valley? Located some 50 miles outside of the city is an adventure centre that is fully equipped to show you the ropes and give you the chance to take on the Urubamba River. You'll be given a full safety instruction, all necessary equipment and will raft on a course that is appropriate for beginners with no prior experience. On the way there will be opportunities to stop and appreciate the beautiful landscapes and Inca terraces. Afterwards you will have the chance to shower and enjoy a healthy lunch on the banks of the river, before returning to Cusco.
