Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is one of the most scenic national parks in China and famous as the location for the film Avatar. The park is part of the larger Wulingyuan scenic area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The most dramatic landscapes are the gigantic limestone pillars that can be seen throughout the park.
The huge area has a network of elevators, shuttle busses, a tram and cable cars to combine with your guided walks. The walks are on well made trails and steps. A visit at sunrise and sunset is a wonderful experience, as well as crossing the giant glass bridge, a marvel of engineering that connects two giant pillars over a spectacular canyon.
