Get to know the life and times of Latin America's first Pope on this specially designed tour of Buenos Aires.

This unique tour will help you discover the places and events that shaped the life of Pope Francis, the first Latin American to reach the highest authority of the Vatican. The Pope was born as Jorge Mario Bergoglio in Buenos Aires and spent most of his religious life in this city.

The tour heads down the 9th Avenue de Julio, the Avenue Independencia, and the Avenue La Plata, before reaching the site of the old San Lorenzo Stadium. It is now the Carrefour market, but was previously the home of the Pope's favourite football team. We continue to his birthplace in the Flores neighborhood and Herminia Brumana Square. Here, you will see the Colegio de la Misericordia and its Chapel. Then, you will see the San Jose de Flores Basilica, where Pope had his "revelation" and defined his vocation at age 17.

Finally, we will stroll in downtown Buenos Aires, seeing the Obelisk, the Colon Theater, Diagonal Norte, before reaching the Plaza de Mayo, Pink House (Casa Rosada), the Cathedral, the Buenos Aires Archbishop palace, the Bergoglio Cardinal residence, and Cafe Tortoni.
