A memorable journey into Chile to appreciate the green waters and spectacular landscapes of the region.
It is possible to cross over the border into the Chilean Lake District, and then return to Argentina on a full day excursion from Bariloche. From Puerto Pañuelo a boat trip leads to Blest, an important arm of the Lake Nahuel Huapi, passing by the island of Centinela, where you find the remains of Perito Moreno and an attractive waterfall. There will be the chance to visit Bahia Blest and Rio Frias and it is then a short transfer to Puerto Alegre to embark on a 25 minute navigation of Lake Frias and the opportunity to admire a very special landscape. The green colour of its waters is due to tiny rock particles being pulverized from the friction of the glacier against the walls of the Mount Tronador, which stands out with its imposing white summit in the surrounding forest.
Once in Puerto Frías, the last stop in Argentina, you'll go through customs clearance to enter Chile. For the next two hours a 4x4 vehicle will show you around the most amazing landscapes of these latitudes, reaching the Ecological Villa of Peulla. Here, you will have time to enjoy lunch at any of the local restaurants, walk around the area or enjoy the activities carried out there, before the trip back to Puerto Pañuelo.
