Amazon Mureru Lodge

Amazon Mureru Lodge is an eco-friendly retreat in the heart of the Brazilian Amazon amidst the rich primary forest of the Mamori River region. The lodge prioritises sustainable practices, minimising environmental impact and the development of the local community. The journey to the lodge from Manaus is about 3 hours with a stop to observe the Meeting of the Waters and giant water lilies. 

The floating structure provides a unique connection with nature and the rooms are designed to offer comfort, with large glass windows providing an incredible view of Lake Tracajá. All 10 suites have air conditioning, comfortable beds, and private bathrooms. The suites are divided into single, double/twin, triple, and family, with capacity for up to 2 adults and 3 children. 

Public areas include a dining room serving local cuisine, the upper deck with hammocks and lounge chairs, a lower deck with a pool and hot tub, a bar with a variety of drinks and sun loungers, ideal for enjoying the beautiful sunsets.

The region is home to a variety of birds, including macaws, toucans, canaries, and more than 150 cataloged species in the region, which can be observed during boat tours. See monkeys, sloths, and other primates during guided forest trails. The variety of fish includes piranhas, pirarucu, and tucunaré, as well as the ever- present river dolphins near the lodge. 

Explore the region on guided ecological trails led by local experts, take a boat tour or explore by kayaks or stand-up paddle-board. The tranquility of the lake and the panoramic view of the pristine nature is invigorating.
