The heart of Búzios is the popular Rua das Pedras, a cobbled street lined with stylish boutiques, fine restaurants and lively bars with live music - great place to hang out and absorb the atmosphere. Otherwise stroll along the picturesque beachfront promenade watching the colourful fishing boats in the bay. We recommend taking a boat trip to explore the various secluded beaches and nearby islands, which offer perfect opportunities for snorkelling.
There are some fantastic small boutique hotels and posh posadas which offer an ideal beach extension when visiting Rio de Janeiro, which is only a couple of hour away and the escape from the city to unwind and relax.
