Pousada do Parque

Pousada do Parque is located within the Chapada dos Guimarães National Park (only 60 km from Cuiaba Airport), at an altitude of 750m. It sits in its own 500 hectare estate, has two seasonal waterfalls (December to July), an observation tower and several trails providing an unforgettable experience for nature lovers and birdwatchers.

The heartland of Brazil covers an area equal to Western Europe (2.000.00 Km²), and its original vegetation is called "Cerrado", considered one of the richest tropical savanna in the planet, due to its high diversity of plant endemism. Most of Brazil's large rivers find their sources here. Its biodiversity includes: 837 birds, 161 mammals, 120 reptiles and over 10.000 plants species which 44% of them are endemic.

With only eight well-appointed and comfortable apartments, Pousada do Parque it is the ideal base to explore. Public areas include a restaurant with breathtaking views of the National Park, plus a swimming pool, sauna, and Shala, for Yoga lovers.

There are well-marked trails for independent exploration of the National Park or guided birdwatching tours, and guided treks to the waterfalls, the city of Chapada, the Rio Claro Valley, and mount São Jerônimo one of the highest points in the National Park at over 800m high.
