Fly to the Pantanal

Transfer to the airport and fly to Cuiaba. On arrival, our guide will transfer you to your chosen hotel or lodge for a 4-night stay on a full board basis. The rest of the day is at leisure.

The Pantanal is an incredible wildlife sanctuary protected as a World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO since 2000. With a total area of approximately 140,000 km2, it is one of the largest contiguous wetland on the planet. The biodiversity includes onca jaguars, monkeys, macaws, sloths, caimans, toucans and giant otters.

Observe the incredible wildlife

This morning enjoy an ecological walk through the jungle and open fields to observe animals and birds. Having the largest diversity of bird species in the world, the Pantanal is specially interesting for bird watching. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, take boat ride for a photographic safari in Mutum River. In its crystal clear water it is possible to see giant otters, stingrays and huge schools of small fish. At the Mutum river banks, a large variety of birds can be observed. After dinner enjoy a nocturnal jeep safari.

The Pantanal at dawn and local village

Today we take a canoe on the Mutum river to observe the sunrise and the beauty of wildlife at the break of dawn in the Pantanal.

After breakfast, travel by boat to Cuiabá Mirim, a small fishing village located on the bank of the Cuiabá river. In the afternoon, take a jeep ride observing birds and animals, including macaws.

Exploring the Mutum River & Chacorore Bay

Today explore the jungle on horseback (optional) to the edge of the Siá Mariana Bay, a haven for wildlife.

In the afternoon, travel by boat on the Mutum River, visit Siá Mariana Bay and Chacororé Bay. We also enjoy a spot of piranha fishing in the glow of the sunset.

Fly to Brasilia and onto Chapada Dos Veadeiros

Transfer to the airport and to Brasilia. Here, our guide will transfer you to your chosen hotel or lodge in Chapada dos Veadeiros, located just 230 km from Brasilia, for a 4-night stay including breakfast, packed lunches and dinner.

Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park in northern Goias is important in protecting high-altitude cerrado landscape and flora. Now recognised as a World Natural Heritage site by UNESCO, the region is one of the richest of all the world's savannas, with an estimated 10,000 species of plants. The geology here is one of the world's most ancient, at over 1.6 billion years old and this power of the essential elements has drawn a vibrant community who live here: natural healers and therapists; artists; ecologists; spiritualists; and new-age mystics.

Exploring the Sao Miguel river

This morning we explore the São Miguel River including Morada do Sol, with its beautiful pool and natural whirlpools.

Continue to Espaço Infinito farm and trek to Raizama canyon. We will also visit the Vale da Lua (Valley of the Moon), where you can observe unusual rock formations sculpted by the waters along thousands of years.

Trek to the Cachoeira do Segredo waterfall

Today we travel by jeep and then trek on foot with our guide through beautiful scenery to see one of the most impressive waterfalls in the region, Cachoeira do Segredo, more than 100 meters high. Lunch is included at São Jorge.

Trek to the Black River waterfalls

After breakfast, we trek to the awe-inspiring waterfalls of Black River (Rio Preto), 120m high. Continue to a smaller waterfall (80m high) where there is a large swimming pool we can bathe. On the return we stop at the natural whirlpools of the quarries to relax.
