Depart the UK on a daytime flight to Brasilia, a spacious mordern city that was built from nothing as the new capital in the centre of the country. Mutum River trip & night safari
After breakfast, enjoy an ecological walk through the jungle and open fields to observe animals and birds. Having the largest diversity of bird species in the world, the Pantanal is specially interesting for bird watching.
Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat ride for a photographic safari in Mutum River. In its crystal clear water it is possible to see giant otters, stingrays and huge schools of small fish. At the Mutum river banks, a large variety of birds can be observed. Return to the lodge for dinner and a nocturnal animal spotting by jeep in the lodge surrounding area.

Canoe & jeep adventures
We are up early today to experience canoeing in the Mutum river to observe the sunrise and the beauty of wildlife at the break of dawn in the Pantanal. We then take a boat ride to Cuiabá Mirim, a small fishing village located at the Cuiabá river banks.
Return for lunch. In the afternoon, take a jeep ride observing birds and animals, where there is a great chance to observe many macaws.

Walks or horse riding in the jungle
This morning, enjoy a walk or horse riding in the forest at the edge of the Siá Mariana bay. After lunch, take a boat trip down the Mutum river banks to Chacororé bay. On the return to the lodge we stop to see the sunset at the Siá Mariana bay and enjoy some piranha fishing.

Trekking and waterfalls
Today enjoy a guided trek in the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park through pristine cerrado to visit the amazing Saltos do Rio Preto, a series of waterfalls cascading up to 360ft (120m) into lush green gallery forest and forming natural swimming pools. Exploring the cerrado
Further exploration in the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park, visiting the spectacular rock gorges, Canion I & II, and the lovely Cariocas waterfalls on the Rio Preto river. Travel to Praia do Forte beach
Travel from Salvador da Bahia to Praia do Forte for a 3-night stay, a charming, tranquil fishing village located 80 km north of Salvador with idyllic beaches, a small old church and sea turtle protection centre. The streets of the village are now paved and many of the fisherman's houses have been converted into shops, bars, small restaurants, ideal to relax, walk and browse.
A short distance inland is a "restinga" forest, a swamp for birdwatching and the old castle of Garcia D'Avila. This is part of the Forest Atlantica, a huge environmentally protected nature reserve with coastal trails trails, zip-wire adventures, river kayaking and many other activities - well worth visiting during your stay.
